A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to nonexistent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss emails because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a spelling error. The downside of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of spam email messages, but this issue can be fixed by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also important to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming email messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a lot of features, but it’s exceptionally intuitive, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires just one single click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will simply have to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the given address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as simple and takes one more click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without effort even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to accomplish that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created with your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding enabled.
